Rivaroxaban is used to prevent and treat blood clots in blood vessels (DVT; a blood clot, usually in the leg and pulmonary embolism :a blood clot in the lung) ?and certain heart diseases, It also used to reduce the risk of DVT and pulmonary embolism?in patients who are undergoing hip replacement or knee replacement surgery.
Rivaroxaban belongs to a class of medications called anticoagulants. It works by reducing the formation of blood clots.
