Pseudoephedrine

Pseudoephedrine is used for the relief of nasal congestion caused by colds, allergies, and hay fever. It is also used to temporarily relieve sinus congestion and pressure.

Pseudoephedrine belongs to the class of medications called sympathomimetics. It works by causing narrowing of the blood vessels and reduces swelling in the nasal passages thereby making breathing easier.
