Uses

Clobazam is used to treat severe anxiety over a short time, fits (epilepsy), mental illness, such as schizophrenia (in combination with other treatments) and Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome (fits in patients with 2 years of age or older).?

How it works

Clobazam belongs to class of medications called benzodiazepine. It works by decreasing abnormal electrical activity in the brain.

Common side effects

Sensing things which are not there, Difficulty in swallowing, Change in speech pattern, Stevens johnson syndrome, Believing things which are not true, Have difficulty sleeping or nightmares, Toxic epidermal necrolysis ., Increased possibility of tripping or falling, Feeling restless, Feeling irritable or anxious, Fever, Feeling suicidal, Especially in elderly patients
