Liraglutide 3ML

It is used as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes. It is also used along with other antidiabetic medicines (e.g. metformin, pioglitazone, sulfonylurea, and insulin), diet, and exercise to treat uncontrolled diabetes. Not recommended as first-line therapy for patients inadequately controlled on diet and exercise.

Liraglutide belongs to the class of drugs called incretin mimetics such as human-glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1).It is a synthetic (man-made) hormone which acts like GLP-1. It lowers the blood glucose level by increasing the amount of insulin, decreasing glucose production in liver and slows gastric emptying thereby increasing intestinal absorption of glucose
